Indish is an Indian restaurant in the food court at Vancouver’s Bentall Tower. We designed its interior (kitchen + storefront) and menu as one connected experience.
Our strategy uncovered insights unique to Indish, revealing the brand’s personality and guiding every design decision that followed.
Rattan became the defining material of the storefront. Familiar across regions of India, it connects to the pan-Indian cuisine Indish serves while bringing warmth and a sense of comfort to the space. We clad the entire storefront in rattan, creating a cohesive presence that reads clearly from the concourse.
Oak panels add richness and depth, while curved shelving and warm lighting turn the spices into part of the visual story.
The result is a distinctive space with a bold visual presence, designed to make a statement and stand out in a busy food court.
